Features and Specifications of the Wild Camping Tent

The Wild Country Zephyros 2 Compact Tent is a 2-person, 3-season tent that weighs just 1.95kg, making it ideal for backpackers and hikers who want to travel light. Its simple yet effective design consists of a single hoop that creates a spacious interior with two end poles. The tent is made of high-quality materials, including Stormtex 68D polyester Ripstop PU 4000mm, which provides excellent durability and protection against the elements.

The tent features an 8.5mm WC Superflex Alloy central pole and 8mm WC Superflex Alloy end poles, which are strong and lightweight. The tent has 2 entrances (great for pitching for both sunset and sunrise), and 1 of the doors has a zippered mesh panel that allows for great ventilation and lets you see out with the door shut. The tent comes with 10 alloy V-angle pegs that provide excellent stability in windy conditions. It also has 4 yellow reflective guy ropes, making it easy to spot in low-light conditions.

When packed, the tent is 30cm x 16cm, making it easy to fit in a backpack or a bike pannier. When open, it is 150cm x 220cm.

The tent's groundsheet is made of tough, durable material that provides excellent protection against sharp objects and dampness. The groundsheet is also fully waterproof, ensuring you stay dry even in wet conditions. The tent's inner is made of breathable material that keeps condensation to a minimum, ensuring that you remain comfortable throughout the night.

Ease of Assembly and Disassembly

One of the most significant advantages of the Wild Country Zephyros 2 Compact Tent is its ease of assembly and disassembly. The tent has a single pole that fits into a sleeve on the flysheet and only two other small poles at either end (features colour-coded pockets to put the end poles in, however, it was a bit tight), which means one person can pitch it quickly and easily. Getting the tent tight can be fiddly, though; the adjustable straps holding the inner tent to the outer can make the outside sag a little once you tighten them, so you may need to mess with it to get the right pitch.

Interior Space and Comfort

The Wild Country Zephyros 2 Compact Tent has a spacious interior that measures 220cm x 150cm, making it comfortable enough for two (small) people to sleep in. In addition, the tent's single pole also creates a high ceiling, making the interior feel even more spacious; it may not be high enough for you to sit upright with the door open and look out, though it was a bit low for me for this. The tent also has 2 small vestibules, providing extra storage space for your gear.

Ventilation and Weather Resistance

The Wild Country Zephyros 2 Compact Tent has excellent ventilation, which helps prevent condensation from building up inside. Two mesh panels at either end can be opened to allow for excellent air circulation, and one of the doors has a mesh panel, too. I have had no issues with condensation.

Additionally, the tent's 10 lightweight alloy pegs and reflective guy ropes provide excellent stability in windy conditions, making it an ideal choice for wild camping. The only thing about the tent pegs is that due to their v shape, they do bring out a lot of soil with them, which can get very messy! However, this shape of the peg does provide stability.

Conclusion and Final Thoughts for The Wild Country Zephyros Tent Review - Perfect for Wild Camping

Tent review - Overall, the Wild Country Zephyros 2 Compact Tent is an excellent choice for backpackers and hikers who want a lightweight and easy-to-pitch shelter that can withstand various weather conditions. The tent's simple yet effective design, high-quality materials, and excellent weather resistance make it an ideal choice for camping in exposed locations on wild camps. I would personally recommend this tent for 1-person wild camping when you would like more space, possibly not for a multi-day hike, only due to weight, as I feel you can get lighter tents for this purpose. Furthermore, this is at a great price point, at only £199; it is a great tent to buy when starting out or upgrading from your £50 tester tent.

The tent's ease of assembly and disassembly, spacious interior, and excellent ventilation make it comfortable and convenient to use.

Suppose you're looking for a reliable and durable tent that can withstand various weather conditions and provide you with a comfortable and convenient shelter. In that case, the Wild Country Zephyros 2 Compact Tent is an excellent choice.

You understated that you can’t sit up in the tent

I am not tall and I can’t sit up in it, which makes for an incredibly awkward tent
